Happy Monday!
I’m writing to you this morning from a Target parking lot outside of Sacramento! Today we are on our way to a campsite close to Nevada City, where we will stay a couple of nights before heading east.
This week, we have a shorter video for you. We are making our way out of California soon, and we know we missed a lot of stuff and didn’t get to experience a lot of y’all’s suggestions! California is such a big state, and we have to keep moving for reasons we explain in this week’s video. But, in short:
- It’s expensive!
- Finding a place to stay isn’t easy!
- We’ve been here a while!
Since this week’s video sounds particularly whiny, I really do want to emphasize that we’ve had such a blast in California! We could totally spend several more months exploring the state. We mainly stuck to big cities and missed A LOT of nature and smaller towns. We definitely plan to get back here at some point and explore more.
Our next stop will be northern Nevada – we’ll come back to southern Nevada once the weather is a bit warmer!
